Cannot start the XQuartz terminal
Cannot start the XQuartz terminal
Hi all,
I am using Mountain Lion and trying to make use of X11. I installed the latest XQuartz veriosn, 2.7.4, but I cannot really use it. It starts ok, but I get no response whneever I try to open the terminal from XQuartz. The same happens when I try to open the following two applications.
I suspect there is something wrong with XQuartz on my system, as I have a Linux box trying to push Wireshark GUI on my PC without any luck.
I see the following logs on Console when I open XQuartz:
07/08/13 11:01:19,491 org.macosforge.xquartz.startx[5105]: xauth: file /Users/dneamtu/.serverauth.5106 does not exist
07/08/13 11:01:19,951 org.macosforge.xquartz.startx[5105]: xauth: (argv):1: bad display name "dneamtu-mac:0" in "list" command
07/08/13 11:01:20,102 org.macosforge.xquartz.startx[5105]: xauth: (stdin):1: bad display name "dneamtu-mac:0" in "add" command
07/08/13 11:01:22,798 org.macosforge.xquartz.startx[5105]: /opt/X11/bin/xinit: XFree86_VT property unexpectedly has 0 items instead of 1
Display looks ok on my PC:
dneamtu-mac:~ dneamtu$ echo $DISPLAY
/tmp/launch-5LwOVt/org.macosforge.xquartz:0
Any ideas? Thanks,
Dan
