Jeremy,
I just put in ticket #811, I'm seeing a hard crash on 2.7.5_rc3 on Mavericks. No idea if this is related to Frank's crash, but it wasn't present in rc2 (ds9 is a tcl/tk based program I use constantly, my recollection is Arkeia is also tcl/tk based).

I use Arkeia, an older version that still uses X11 to forward it display, using Xquartz 2.7.5 rc3 under normal use which I click to select an operation it crashed hard after sending the crash information to Apple and restarting Xquartz2.7.3 rc3 I couldn't forward the display.

I regressed back to Xquartz 2.7.4 and it still didn't allow forwarding of the display so I gave up and reboot and then I could forward the display.
