Whenever I try to open XQuartz.app, it immediately closes. Something (launchd?) is still trying to start X, and /var/log/system.log shows a sequence like this over and over ( http://pastebin.com/4hqCGMcM ). I don't know why it would be unable to find mv, defaults, basename, and such. /etc/paths has /usr/bin, /bin, /usr/sbin, /sbin, and /usr/local/bin, and ~/.bash_profile just adds more things (old $PATH is included in new one). There is no ~/.launchd.conf or ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist.
