I've modified the ATOM on a window to have the _NET_WM_STATE_ABOVE property, however MacOS X11 doesn't appear to honor this request.
When I click on other windows (Nedit in this case) it maps over the window with the STATE_ABOVE property. I thought from my reading that the STATE_ABOVE should be honored based on stacking order of windows.
See http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/1.3/ar01s07.html#STACKINGORDER for the reasons for my question.
Am I correct in assuming that the Mac X11 manager doesn't honor the STATE_ABOVE property, or am I mis-reading the documentation?
David
