fvwm with Yosemite

Hello,

I recently upgraded from Mountain Lion to Yosemite and ported fvwm from Macports. The porting went smooth but cannot configure X11 to work properly. I added xinit to X11 app but the window manager (fvwm) does not open separate screen and most commands don't work - e.g. setroot, AddToMenu Window-Ops don't exist. I tried to open separate space for x11 with mission control but that does not help.

Is it possible to have an X11 window manager with Yosemite? How to configure it?
