XCode Key Binding problem
XCode Key Binding problem

This is a problem that just appeared in XCode. When I
type shift-8 to try and type an astrisk I don't get
one. Instead a menu title near the right side of the
menu bar flashes. The menu has an 'S' shaped logo and
things like commenting in it.
I tried reinstalling XCode but that didn't fix the
problem. I can type an astrisk in other programs.
I have upgraded recently to XCode 1.1 and this may
have been when the problem started.
I see that the menu item S|OPEN|Open Path in Text Edit
has a '*' next to it implying that Shift-8 will choose
that item. (Just like Command-N creates a new file and
is listed next to new file.)
Under XCode|Preferences|KeyBindings I don't see the
little 'S' menu so I cannot turn this very annoying
problem off.
