Oh yeah,
The history accumulation in the "Find Results" grouping is bothersome.
If I do a few different finds on different occasions (perhaps with
different permutations, like searched files, pattern match type [textual,
whole word only, etc] or such), then I end up with a pile of searches
listed by the same damn name and there is no way to tell them apart.
And further, once any of the target data have been modified, the find
results become stale.
I respectfully suggest that Find results NOT be cached and added to the
list as they are currently; instead, create a button or menu command to
do so if the user really wants.
AND... I've noted my frustration with the upper list pane thingy before,
but I will expand on it here: In PB, I loved the behaviour. When I was
doing a batch find, the pane would expand to a nice size, containing all
my results. Then, when I was doing other editing or whatever, I could
have the build pane in view, which was much smaller (maximizing my work
area). This is what I would like now as well: I want the bloody list to
be out of the way (small) unless I have done a batch find operation.
