Sorry to hear you're having so much difficulty.

I managed to fix things by wiping my users directory, restoring from backup, and recoding the lost hours of work from the top of my head. I think the whole file corruption is more a result from using FileVault (or VileFault as I deem it a more accurate description) in combination with XCode 1.0's problems with encoding.

Right now, XCode 1.0.1 has not caused any problems, and VileFault has been turned off.

If anything happens again, I'll make sure to get the proper details and file a bug report. Right now, I have to make sure it was a pure XCode 1.0 and VileFault freakshow.

I do have some weird issue with VM. I have 1.0 Gb SDRAM, which should be enough for the system. Yet, 4 swapfiles get created with the total size of 512Mb. Activity Monitor shows me that the kernel_task is using 67Mb real memory, but about 690Mb of virtual memory. LAServer itself uses 480Mb real memory and about 140Mb VM. Anyone else seeing this? Is this realistic? (In Jaguar I didn't have this huge memory load).

Adriaan
