Pauses when building

Hi,

I have a friend using Xcode 1.0.1 on Panther and when he builds, he gets a 30 second pause at the start. It appears to be in a spawned ps during this period. I think he is using distcc and it worked fine under 1.0 and Panther. Anyone else see this?
