Cannot use CVS in Xcode

Hi,

I'm trying to use CVS from Xcode. In the SCM window I get the error:
"Error: aborted]: /usr/local/cvsrep/CVSROOT/history: Permission denied" with no file showing in the window. The SCM menu command "Commit Changes..." is also unavailable. I'd like to know why this is happening though I can commit changes (In fact do whatever CVS can do) to my CVS repository through Terminal. The project I use in Xcode is opened from the one checked out form the cvsrep.

Any help is appreciated.

N.B: I'm on Panther and have all privileges over the machine.
