I have filed a bug report (ID# :3480521 rdar://3480521 ).

However the first character you are seeing is a "4" which wasn't the character I entered. This problem might originate from the fact that I am using a german iBook and installed OS X with German as my primary language but am now using English (USA) as my primary language... Both character I entered are produced by the key left from the backspace key on the german iBook keyboard (one time with and one time without shift).

Cheers,
Bjoern

PS: Thank you for providing the excellent developer tools free with the OS. This and the way the Apple employees are working with this mailing list are absolut plus points for the whole Macintosh platform. I am looking forward to the progression of XCode!
Thank you for your hard and dedicated work and your open ears for developer problems!

PS: If I am entering "4" or "`" into the search field of the XCode document center I get a non-crashing error-message - should I report this as a bug with more specific informations?

I'm not seeing this problem with the version of Xcode I'm running. Yes, could you file a bug with the specifics?

Thanks,
Matt
