Another known issue. We have some ideas about (in a future version)
adding auto-completion, dragging in file references, and providing a
button to bring up a open dialog to choose the file.
The dialog used by Codewarrior for managing include paths seems to work
very well.
You can drag and drop (in and out, and between different targets), you
can open up a file browser, you can cut and paste, you can specify the
root used for a path, you can order the paths (if, for instance, you
want to place a folder of patch headers before other folders so that
the patches will be picked up in preference).
I don't think Codewarrior's approach is linked to using recursive paths
(although each path could certainly have a toggle to select between
using it as a recursive or non recursive path).
... Where do I file a feature suggestion? :)
