Yet another build styles issue

Hello,
I've created an empty project in Xcode, and manually added a BSD Static
Library target. I have not touched the target settings at all. In the
Development build style for the project, I have changed a few options:
no RTTI support, a few preprocessor macros, and no optimizations (BTW,
why on earth a Development build style would have -Os as the
default?!?).
When I build my (single) target with this build style, I still get -Os
-- plus, for some other unfathomable reason, -g... what am I missing
here? This is really frustrating...
Thanks,
Dario
