Native targets with some applescripts -- how?

It seems that Native targets don't support Applescript compilation (which is weird, because there's a rule for AS compilation... but, OK). I've got an application that has a few scripts that compiled and then placed into Resources/Scripts. It's not clear to me how to do this with XCode native targets (the existing legacy target for this project works fine, of course).
Anyone have any idea of the "approved", "endorsed" and/or "not yukky" way of doing this is?
