Adding additional build settings

I've got a custom compiler definition working now (minimally), but I need an additional build setting for it.

I've tried adding a 'Options' and 'OptionCategories' to by pbcompspec and I've added a pbsetspec file with the same information, but I can't get it to show up in the project or target settings inspector.

Before I bang my head on this any further -- is it even possible to extend the build settings list?
