Any ideas to get distr. builds working?
Have you got your firewalls enabled?
FWIW, errant firewalls in the way exhibit themselves in a slightly
different manner, as I discovered this morning. Firewalled machines
will still show up in the distributed builds preferences panel, since
they still respond to the appropriate Rendezvous magic. The trouble
starts at build time when your machine tries to farm out some of the
work. Then sits there, waiting for a response from the remote distcc
until it times out, gives up and builds it locally.
'til I figured out what was awry, switching *off* distributed builds
dramatically improved my build time, by about a minute. :-)
