distcc error diagnosis

distributed builds were working fine before upgrading to the newest seeds. Unfortunately, now I'm getting the 2 error sets below when building. The ports are open and I didn't see any mention of this in the readme. Any pointers?

The first set of errors are:

distcc[4944] ERROR: failed to read: Connection reset by peer
distcc[4944] ERROR: read failed while waiting for token "DONE"
distcc[4944] ERROR: unexpected eof on fd0
distcc[4944] ERROR: read failed while waiting for token "PULL"
distcc[4944] (dcc_handle_remote_indirection_request) ERROR: Unable to receive PULL request
distcc[4944] ERROR: failed to write: Broken pipe
distcc[4944] ERROR: got version 0 not 1 in response from server
distcc[4944] Warning: failed to distribute to "tobias-G4QuickSilver.local.", running locally instead

The second set of errors are:

distcc[4951] ERROR: failed to write: Broken pipe
distcc[4951] Warning: failed to distribute to "tobias-G4MirrorDoor.local.", running locally instead

thanks.
