For what it's worth, I was experiencing many of the problems that
people on this list have reported with Xcode, I took the bull by the
horns and reformatted my disk and did a completely clean install of
Panther. This seems to have resolved
my Java problems
my link library problems
my Xcode crashing when creating new files
my files not being correctly compiled
however
Xcode crashing when sorting groups remains.
