xcode 1.2 - getting uncaught exception attempting to display online help/release notes/etc.

I am getting the following exception when I first launched xcode or
subsequent launches when I attempt to view the release notes or pages
in the documentation window. Any ideas?
I will look for a possible font issue in the short term.
FYI, I am running Mac OS X 10.3.3 and never installed any of the 1.2
seeds, just had 1.1 installed.
