If this is the same exception I've hit internally when doing the same
thing with the IOUSBFamily source (and I think it is), you should be
able to work around this by taking the subprojects that are included in
the project (sample code, I think, but I can't check at the moment) and
opening them in Xcode, then closing them again, then reopening the
IOUSBFamily project. Another option is to delete them from the project
if you don't need them.
(This is <rdar://problem/3614389> for any other Apple folks who are
curious.)
