Jim

When we asked around about this feature, folks pretty much universally
told us they didn't like the drawer (and didn't know that they could
post the console in a separate window - which meant they just avoided
using the gdb console.) So it was removed.

When was this asking done? I've been using the drawer; it seems a convenient way to guarantee that the debug window and the console (with its printf output) are on my second monitor.

I haven't used 1.5 enough to know if I'll miss this, but I definitely used to use it. (And occasionally entered GDB commands, since I was trying to use a watchpoint, which has no UI.)

On the other hand, I could do without all the GDB messages in that console -- I don't really need the warranty disclaimer every time I start a debug session...
