Hi Everyone,
I wanted to make some packages and use ARD 1.2.4 to blast them out but package maker doesn't work correctly. I am using the version from the latest developer tools.
I tried making a package of Dreamweaver MX and another package with a few shell scripts and an applescript I wanted to push out. After setting all the settings in PackageMaker I clicked create package and it asked if I wanted to split the forks, I tried both ways and neither worked.
The package gets made but if you install it on another machine the icon is a generic icon and it doesn't work. I don't recall ever having this problem before. I am just starting to use PackageMaker again because we just moved to OS 10.3.4 in July and I have now a few updates that need to go out.
I was logged in as root when creating the packages and what broke was the Dreamweaver MX.app and the "run only" applescript I made. The shell scripts worked fine and the other Dreamweaver files seemed to be ok also.
Any ideas on what the problem could be? It would really be nice if this worked right expecially when its the only way Apple gives to make packages!
Thanks,
Dan
