I couldn't agree more completely. Xcode 1.5 contains a really major
regression in that C++ builds now fail to erase the red doo-dads in the
gutter indicating the errors of the previous build. Formerly I only
noticed this behavior on the Java side. The only way to get rid of the
doo-dads is to clean before *every* build. This is OK when you have 20
or so computers to help out, but on my little laptop it makes for way
to many coffee breaks.
Also, forcing everyone to rebuild their preferences from scratch and
making SCM off by default was just plain sadistic. And clobbering CHUD
with an older version was pretty pointless, IMHO.
Also, the reindexing button doesn't do anything any more. That used to
be the one thing that I really trusted.
And the class hierarchy display fails to display all the
sub-hierarchies, for no apparent reason.
Does anyone at Apple actually use Xcode?
