Does preprocess or Compile work for anyone using c++?

I don't believe I've had a problem with Compile. I just tried preprocessing a file, and it worked, although once the resulting window opened XCode slowed to a crawl for about 20 seconds. I tried doing the same thing in CodeWarrior, but the resulting file was only about 1/5 as big, presumably due to precompiled headers and/or differences with MSL.
