It's been my experience with Xcode 1.5 that its Subversion support
works for committing changes to source files, but just about every
other function doesn't work correctly. (Yes, I have filed bugs.) No
matter what SCM system you use, I'd recommend using a dedicated client
program rather than Xcode; I like CVL for CVS and svnX for Subversion.

Well, I'll give it a shot. Do I have to do anything special for the
.xcode
and .nib files (like 'propset' on the Bill Bumgarner web site)? Or is
that a
peculiarity of the Xcode SCM interface only? Thanks for the help.

Or you use Xcode with CVS and ssh access. Seems to be working out of
the box. Xcode updates SCM status on opening the project. All cvs
operation we are used to - say using emacs on the source - work as
expected. Very nice the Compare, Diff, and Annotations.
As far as I know you want the .xcode and .nib files on CVS if you want
to share the exact same Xcode settings with the developers team.
Otherwise they may be local as well.
No problems to report (so far so good).
