We hope that as users and developers here that we won't drive you to the same point as Jimmy Swaggart!

Folks,

My name is Matthew Formica, and I am Apple's new Cocoa & Developer Tools
Technology Evangelist in Apple's Worldwide Developer Relations Group. I
just wanted to say "hi" to all and introduce myself briefly...

I know many of you already from postings to this list, as well as my years
of work in Developer Technical Support, helping you find developer
tools/prebinding/runtime solutions through your DTS incidents. I have
greatly enjoyed my time coding and helping you all get past blocking issues,
but I also am now looking forwards to helping encourage the use of our Xcode
Tools in the developer community, as well as taking feedback to Apple's
engineering on how to make Xcode be the best it can be.

My new role won't have me helping solve specific technical questions as much
(DTS is still available to find workarounds and arrive at resolutions to top
technical issues). However, please do send feedback on Xcode to
email@hidden - I and others read it to see how we can
improve our tools. Beyond that, if your company is new to Mac OS X and
wants more information on Apple's developer tools, or you have a bug # for a
bug you've filed that is blocking your product from shipping, or have other
comments or concerns about the tools, please send them my way -
email@hidden.

I'm also the new Cocoa Evangelist, so I'll be encouraging and tracking use
of Cocoa in the developer community as well.

I will continue to work with Godfrey DiGiorgi, Tools Technology Manager, to
coordinate various aspects of our tools and ensure we keep striving for the
best development environment possible. You'll see more of me around in
upcoming months, whether it be at workshops, WWDC, or the like, and I look
forwards to meeting many of you!

Regards,

Matthew Formica
