I fixed this by removing the <user>.pbxuser. Guess based on another
post here, and it worked.

This file of course has not been moved or deleted. I have also tried
removing the nib from the project, and reinstalling it, with no change
to the error message. The sheet has an ok button, but closes on its
own. (It was a challange to screen capture the sheet and see what it
actually said, as it happens so fast).
In the console, just as this window is closing I receive:
2004-02-07 07:02:18.147 Xcode[439] Container
<PBXProject:0x01699df0:rtn=1:2A37F4A9FDCFA73011CA2CEA:path='(null)'>
still contains 7 items after being deallocated. This might be a memory
leak, or an item not being properly marked as removed from its
container before being deallocated.
Any ideas? My project continues to build and function, but I am
concerned all the same.
