I'm hoping someone can give me an easy "1, 2, 3" answer. I have been using Visual Source Safe (aka "VSS") on the M$ platform for many years. What source control options are available for XCode that a newbie developer would able to use?

XCode also provides support for perforce (http://www.perforce.com). It's a commercial product with per seat licensing/support costs (which in my opinion is well worth the cost - their support is first rate).

Perforce is supported on an astoundingly wide range of platforms both for it's server and client (including a Mac OS 9 client, and a Codewarrior plugin too).
