I'm customising my key bindings in XCode 1.0, and I've been unable to
find entries in the preferences that map to the 'next file'/'previous
file' functions, used by the left and right arrows in the top of the
editor pane.
I found an old project builder post that mentioned the defaults being
'Cmd-Opt-left' and 'Cmd-Opt-right', but these don't work for me. Any
ideas?
They don't work? Really? That's the default configuration and if you
click
in the window that contains the file you're editing of the html
document in
the documentation window, they should work. The only time they don't
work is
when you do some command. Xcode loses the focus of first responder in
the
text area on the window and you have to click again (e.g. do a build,
close
the build window and you'll have to click again in the text editor to
regain
focus...
Hmmm.... It sounds like something has happened to those key-bindings
then, perhaps I've accidentally re-assigned them through the
preferences panel? I've been trying to check this, but I can't find an
entry for them.
The logical place would seem to be Preferences->Key Bindings->Text Key
Bindings->Project Navigation but I don't see anything promising there?
I've eyeballed through the other preferences looking for likely
actions, but with no luck so far.
No, these key bindings are actually attached to menu commands. Look at
your View menu.
