Konstantin,
From your explanation, it seems that some change in the format of the
document's HTML is causing Xcode to miss the relevant anchors. Please
file a bug.
Thanks for the careful analysis.

Sometime after installing the full Xcode 1.1 CD update I found that
the documentation window does not list methods for certain classes in
the pop-up list above the viewer pane. For example, when I open docs
for NSTableView, the pop-up list has the only item, NSTableView, and
no methods at all. Same goes for NSString, NSArray and several other
classes.
I thought that the updated documentation is missing some tags and
tried to compare the 'good' and 'bad' html files. I didn't find
anything suspicious. Then I took my original Xcode 1.0 CD and
extracted some documentation from it. Sure enough, old versions work
as they should and Xcode gladly shows the full lists of available
methods. Comparing old documentation files with new ones did not get
me anywhere since the tags look the same. I did not, however, check
the html itself, but I would be VERY surprised if the two versions had
different errors.
Has anyone else seen it? Are there any special cache or preferences
files created for the Xcode Documentation Viewer?
Thanks in advance.
Konstantin.
