FWIW: This didn't happen to me any more, since I switched off
Predictive Compilation.
I think you might be onto something here, because I did the same thing
a few days ago and the build freeze bug seems to have gone away for me,
too. Also, that fixed the problem where sometimes after compiling and
choosing to save a file, the compiler spews out a number of bogus
errors, but rebuilding works fine.

already on these issues, so I haven't filed any on these issues myself.
