How to install HeaderDoc 8?

The HeaderDoc 8.0b1 docs say "you can quickly install by simply typing: sudo
make realinstall"
Any instruction with both "quickly" and "simply" in the same sentence is
sure to fail, and this one is no exception.
Can somebody give me instructions that work? The error message says
something about "no rule for realinstall".
