Speaking as a user, I don't notice any improvements in startup times with prebinding unless I actually measure it (which no users do!), but I do notice that after installing something, I need to wait 5-15 minutes for "optimizing system performance".


So let me join the club of people who're glad to see this go in favor of optimized binding code! :) I mean, i/o is certainly the bottleneck when loading executables, not looking up symbols in a table.
