HeaderDoc 8 resolveLinks questions

Trying again here since I didn't get a response on HeaderDoc-dev (which I
imagine is only lightly populated):
Two questions:
1. The HeaderDoc 8 @link tag apparently generates absolute links in the
resulting HTML file. As a result, if a user changes the name of the
enclosing folder after documentation is generated, all links in the
documentation stop working. This makes generated HeaderDoc documentation
very fragile if it is distributed separately, outside of an application or
framework bundle.
Moving the enclosing folder doesn't cause any problems. Links keep working.
2. The HeaderDoc 8 gatherHeaderDoc script fails if the name of the directory
to be gathered includes a space. No amount of quoting or escaping solves
this problem. The error message implicates the resolveLinks tool, saying
that it failed.
Is there a cure for either of these issues? Am I misunderstanding something?
The HeaderDoc documentation says link generation is handled by a separate
tool, resolveLinks, but I don't see any documentation for it that would help
me understand this.
