Why does IB just beep when I try to paste?

  • Subject: Why does IB just beep when I try to paste?

I'm trying to copy/paste a view instance from one nib to another and IB just beeps when I hit paste.

Steps:
 - Open two nib files
 - In Nib A click an NSView instance in the Instances tab and Copy.
 - In Nib B, Paste.
 - Enjoy the beep.

I've had this problem on and off for a while, but now it's happening all the time. It just doesn't want to paste stuff into the Instances pane any more. Any thoughts?

For reference, I'm using XCode 1.2 (installed from the full disk image).

Thanks,
Dave

It's not denial. I'm just very particular about the reality I choose to accept. -Calvin
