Open man page problem

I've installed some local man pages under /usr/share/man/man3 for Perl
DBI and DBD::Pg. I thought that I'd be able to open them up under
Xcode's Open man page, but it keeps telling me that the man page can't
be found.

Is there some kind of index Xcode is using that the man command doesn't
use? If so, how can I update it to include that?
