Library style 'static' ignored for frameworks?

  • Subject: Library style 'static' ignored for frameworks?

I have created a Cocoa Framework (from the template) and set the "Library Type" to "Static" in the "Style" tab of the Project Inspector (Info Panel). But my framework is still linked dynamically (i.e. at runtime).

Is there something else I need to change?

Manually gcc'ing and libtool'ing my sources does give the expected result.
