File -> New Project
Scroll to the bottom of the list.
Unless I missed something, Xcode will let you program strait UNIX programs
in C, C++, =or= Objective-C (linking against Foundation, CoreServices, or
CoreFoundation)

This is from a 3 day old install of Xcode 1.2, however, this dates back to
the 1st version of Project Builder I've worked with (the one that was
included with Mac OS X 10.0.0)

I took a C++ programming class* (no pun intended) a couple of years ago, and
it was quite fun to be doing everything they were doing with CodeWarrior
without having to buy the beast :)

*I picked up some good information from that class, however, I've picked up
quite a bit more on my own from books and whatnot.
