I find this very useful because it means I can maintain a potentially neat printed page or terminal display if necessary. Unless anyone has other suggestions on how to accomplish this?

It's there in editor windows just under the toolbar. For example:

	[H]CFile.h:111:22

Means cursor is on line 111, column 22
