hi,
Did you ever manage to sort this out ? We have this problem with XCode 1.2 as well, but even worse.

We have a lot of sub-projects which build frameworks for our main project.
When we add a the product of a subproject (one of these frameworks) to a target of the main project it seems to work, but when the project is closed and reopened we get this "should be an instance of PBXProject" error. And then the framework is no longer added to the target in the main project.
This means that since upgrading to xcode 1.2 we can't build at all - either we will have to go back to an earlier version, or remove the project dependancies and write some kind of script or something to build the frameworks - this will be a very complex since there are quite a lot of complicated dependancies.

	Anyone got a fix ?

Hi,

I happen to use subprojects a lot, and since Xcode 1.2 it seems to be utterly broken:

- create two projects (basic cocoa application or whatever)
- append the .xcode bundle of one of the project to the other.

you'll get an error saying that the project should be an instance of PBXProject (which it should be, right?). If you click continue, then it carries on and you can work.
However the difficulty arises when you have an automated build system relying on xcodebuild... There is no way to circumvent the error, and it exits before building anything.
Is there anything I've missed in my upgrade?
