There's no public API for this currently.
However, implementation is based on indexing the 'apple_ref' markers in
the doc files. These markers are self-describing according to a system
outlined in:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/
HeaderDoc/anchors/chapter_7_section_1.html
So, it would be possible to create your own index and front-end to it.
