So how does one go about including a library in the /usr/...
directory if it's
hidden from Finder? Is there a way of explicity providing a path?
Both the Finder and Navigation Services let you navigate to a point
on a path even if you can't click your way there.
From Xcode:
- choose Add Files... from the Project menu
- press slash or command-shift-G: this brings up the Go to Folder box
slash as in '+' ?
No, slash as in "/". As if you're starting to type an absolute
pathname, which oftentimes you are. It'll be entered into the dialog
as well, so in short, to navigate to /usr, choose Add to Project...
and type "/usr" <enter>. It really is that easy.
Looks like there's a bug somewhere in Cocoa or Mail.app
/ is indeed working for Open and Save Sheet in Xcode. But I was making
my test with this source editor named Mail.app. And in the Save As...
Modal Dialog, I need to type Shift + '=' (that is a '+') to display the
Unix path dialog on my Azerty keyboard.
Sorry for the confusion.
Bug reporter go to I will.
