Howdy,

(I'm running xcode 1.2 on a Mac running OSX 10.3.5)

I'm trying to use the text editing functions of xcode as my primary editor,
replacing years of code warrior use. There are some behavior differences
that are really annoying me; I'm hoping someone can guide me to configuring
changes that will diminish these.

...

I also found the XCode editor to be annoying, but for other reasons. You should try bbedit. I've been happy with it, and I know that a lot of people at apple use it internally as well.

Also, at the very least update to XCode 1.5. Things seem to be improving quickly in XCode-land.

-Travis
