I would file a bug, since (AFAIK) it should work the way you describe.

I'm using Xcode 1.5. I have Deployment Postprocessing turned on and the install permissions set to

INSTALL_MODE_FLAG = a-w,a+rX

(actually, that setting is the factory default, but copying yielded an empty string. If I override the setting to the same value as the factory default the end result doesn't change though)

I have a copy files phase which copies my HTML help into the bundle. The HTML help has a sub-folder. This folder doesn't get the a or x bits set on it when doing a deployment build.

Under what situations is INSTALL_MODE_FLAG honored?

(I was under the impression that doing a Deployment build and having Deployment Post-Processing turned on was enough these days. Is it necessary to do an xcodebuild install from the command line?)

Thanks,
Jim
