The WebObjects assistant instantiates and customizes project templates
found at the following paths:
/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/WebObjects
Support/WebObjects Application/WebObjects Application.pbproj
/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/WebObjects
Support/WebObjects Framework/WebObjects Framework.pbproj
So as long as you preserve the names, you should be able to replace
those with your project templates. It also gets some pieces from:
/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer
Tools/Plug-ins/WOAssistant.pbplugin/Contents/Resources/English.lproj

Hopefully this is the correct place to post this.
I am in the process of developing a WebObjects framework that extends
WOComponent. This framework (and several other associated frameworks)
will be used to develop WebObjects applications by developers at
varying levels of experience. Ideally I would like to be able to
create an environment so that we don't have to write silly
instructions like: 1. Create a new WebObjects Application project. 2.
Edit Application.java and change.... 3. Edit Session.java and
change.... You get the idea. I have successfully created both project
and file templates for XCode to do most of what I want including: my
versions of Application, DirectAction, Session and Main.java all are
subclassed off of the base classes in my framework. What I cannot
figure out how to do is have the XCode wizards run at the beginning of
the creation of a new project. I'd like the user to go through the
same process as if they were creating a new WebObjects Application and
allow them to pick the EOModel and add additional frameworks if
necessary.
I noticed that there is a plug-in directory in /Library/Application
Support/Apple/Developer Tools/ but am unable to find documentation to
make the plugins active when my template is picked. Does anyone have
any experience with this or know where documentation about how to do
this might exist?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks very much.
