Nope.  Nor does control-C break into the debugger.  Its like it hasn't quite
started up yet, like I somehow managed to activate some sort of "pause
before the first instruction" flag thats designed to allow debugging startup
sequences - MacsBug used to have something like that, I think.

When I use the Sample button in the Activity Monitor, it sits for a while
then shows a stack trace that looks like its in a normal main run loop,
processing events.  Haven't got the details at hand, I'm at my day job...

I'm in the process of putting it all back the way it way (framework building
directly into /Library/Frameworks, etc) but it still doesn't seem to work so
I'm sure its some other widget I've touched.
