Work around:
Option 0:
- Use AppleScript or QuickKeys to automate Option 1 or 2 below.
Option 1: (a bit of mousing)
- Make a selection.
- XCode Menu -> Services -> TextEdit ->
New Window Containing Selection
- Click on the new TextEdit window
- Print
Option 2: (Cmd-C, Cmd-Tab, Cmd-A, Cmd-V, Cmd-P)
- Make a selection.
- Copy
- Switch to already open TextEdit window
- Select All
- Paste
- Print
However, it would seem pretty reasonable to expect a print selection
menu item.

Is it possible to print selected text (rather than the entire file)
in the XCode text editor?
There are services out there that can do this. You can probably find
them by searching on a site that tracks software updates, e.g.
VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
