what do people use as a printing font around here?

I have xcode set to display monaco 10 pt, but this looks hideous when printed. In BBEdit, I have a separate printing font: Courier 10. But I don't see any such feature in xcode... Why does monaco look so hideous when printed anyway?

Any suggestions for overcoming this that don't involve jumping through hoops?

I'm not sure what you mean by "hideous", but if it's "it's too dang big", then just scale the printout in the Page Setup dialog. Xcode will remember the scaling forever.
