This e-mail reads fine. For me the original message looked okay except for the code snippets. Those were in the font Monaco size 8 which was illegible for me as well.

At the risk of dragging this dead horse around the streets a while longer, the culprit is HTML mail. I think the sender and receiver have to have identical setups in order to get good results (hence, my .sig).
