time-stamping builds

I have a desire to time-stamp products with the time they were built. This is could be seen as a finer granularity than build number, or as a replacement for build number (just not numeric).

If I want to tuck this into the info.plist file, would it be violating any convention too badly to place such a time-stamp in "CFBundleVersion"?
